Peter Field created what has become Field Gibson Media in 2008 when he launched, an innovative online news and analysis service covering insurance risk management.

Tony Gibson joined to partner with Field in 2010 and the company then acquired Environmental Finance, transforming it into a digital product; built a conference, roundtable and webinar programme; and launched a second online insurance service, Insurance Asset Risk.

Field had founded Risk magazine in 1987 and built up a thriving stable of publications, newsletters, conferences and awards across three continents. Risk Waters Group was sold to Incisive Media in 2003.

Field started out as an editor of reference books, before becoming a journalist covering the Middle East (MEED and the FT) and finance (Euromoney). He has a degree in history from Birkbeck, University of London.
